I wonder, would a bridesman in that situation wear pink? That would make my day.

Oh! we are doing the same kinda thing. The dress is white on top and blue on the bottom for my girls, and white on top and black on the bottom for one of his "groomsgirl" .
My bridesmaids dresses (you can see how you can just change one of the colors) :

Oh and to answer the question if it were the other way around, I would think that you would just put him in a pink tie/vest and toss him on the other side…right?

That's cool. I paged through more of the pics and noticed something about a polaroid guest book – I'm intrigued! It sounds like a really cool idea. Do guests shoot a shot of themselves with a polaroid and insert it into the book?
