Bree’s elegant rock ‘n’ roll wedding
The offbeat bride: Bree, Hairdresser
Her offbeat groom: Damien
Location & date of wedding: Army Navy Country Club, Fairfax VA, October 6, 2007
What made our wedding offbeat: We wanted to be different and rock a roll — but still very elegant. I walked down the aisle to a Johnny Cash tune!
Our biggest challenge: We really had very little difficulty — we planned well in advance and stayed in our budget. Being understanding, compromising and remembering that it’s supposed to be a fun and special time kept any disagreement and difficulty at bay.
My favorite moment: Walking out to “Rose of my Heart” sung by Johnny Cash, and seeing my handsome guy walking halfway to meet me.
My offbeat advice: Check out Whirlingturban. They make custom vintage style dresses that are actually affordable and one of a kind.
Enough talk — show me the wedding porn: Yeah, this profile might be sorta short on words, but check out the 200+ wedding photos!

April 30th, 2008 · 12:16 PM · #I contacted whirlingturban to make my wedding dress, and heard back from them a few times… and then never again, despite numerous e-mails and a few phone call attempts over the period of a month.
They are located in Bali and have the financial part based in Idaho… I don’t know if it was my fault or what, but found my vintage dress (replication) on http://www.unique-vintage.com instead.
