Oshidori

Thanks to KH for sending me this page filled with photos of Oshidori and her amazing furisode-inspired wedding dress. Well, and her fabulous two-toned blue hair. And her enormous wedding party. And the Marge Simpson cake topper. Check out all the shots over here. (Be sure to note the back of that dress. Wow!)

Her hair is pretty. I wonder if it was hard to keep in place.

A friend directed me here, and oh wow! Thank you so much to everyone for the compliments! ::blush::

And to answer one of the questions, no, the hair actually kept put even into the wee hours of the night at the wedding after party at a local pub. And I was definitely dancing and jumping around lots! My stylist was ecstatic to be doing something she thought was so much fun, she wanted to make sure it lasted through all the pics! It was a nightmare to undo though!

After making this dress, I've decided to go from designing streetwear to designing bridal, and have returned to school in order to specialize in bridal and special occasion. I hope to open a salon in the future specifically targeted for brides who would like something a little or a lot different.

Again, thanks to everyone and I'm so happy and humbled that my dress is well-received! Especially after I worked so hard on it! ^_^

Oshi, your dress is so gorgeous that I want to try to make one like that for my wedding. Do you have any advice for making a similar dress? Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
P.S. My friend Shannon says "come join us and we will make wonderful special occasion dresses for everyone".
Thanks,
Bri

Hey Oshi, my sister Carly knows you and told me about your dress, and when she sent me this link I couldn't believe it!!! That is quite possibly the COOLEST wedding dress I've ever seen!!! I can only hope my wedding dress turns out half that well. :)

Hey heres a question to the bride… How did you get ur hair so blue? my daughter says I should do that for my up coming wedding and also great job on your gown too !! something different for sure! I was also thinking of making a gown similar to what you made but want a unique hawaiian syle added to the gown, Im having a Hawaiian/asian wedding theme. thanks and congrats to you!!

Oh wow, there's a familiar face :)

I remember her making her gown ages ago and watching the day by day pics posted on her journal. Totally wonderful
