Mr. and Mrs. Ward’s colorful wedding

October 25th, 2007 · Wedding porn · 12 comments

Mr and Mrs WardNow these are my kind of wedding colors. The chartreuse wedding dress! The red shoes! The purple shirt and tie!

I would be remiss if I didn’t include the coordinated wedding cake and father of the bride’s tie.

And don’t forget about the mum of the groom’s fabulous hat! Oh, and I love the paper decorations and lovely placesettings.

Tim and Helen had a stunning wedding. If you need some non-budget inspiration — wow, check them out. I think I have a crush on them.

UPDATE: Lots of DIY details over here!

(Thanks to Ward-a-mercy for the photo!)

    After seeing this picture:
ME: How important is it to you for me to wear white?
    HIM: Quite.
    ME: Yes, but like, how?
HIM: If you want to stand out on your wedding day, wear white. Please.
ME: (Showing him the picture) But what about this? Don’t they just look yummy?!
HIM: I would really like you to wear white.
    ME: OK (sulk)

I guess when planning an offbeat wedding with a traditional groom, you have to pick your battles! ;o)

I still want this dress though x

This is awesome!! Love all the color — that’s what I’m going for (different color scheme, but still, as much color as possible)!

Yeah, I dont think my husband would have liked all that color either. He is pretty traditional; and I guess in the end…with some things, so am I. My dress was sort of a silvery tone… and I thought THAT was rebellious lol. I dont think I could get away with green…but i do like it.

I love it! I’m going for a green dress, too, and Mister Groom is going to be wearing orange. I cannot wait for the pictures.

the trick is not to tell anyone your dress colour choice until the wedding!! at least that’s what i’m banking on (if mum cries, she cries…)
