The chapel director needs to lay off! The one thing I dislike about traditional weddings is the traditions are part of the "property trade"! That's exactly what it was. No e-ring for me! My dad is walking me down the aisle just because I love him so much, but not handing me off to my FH. Just knowing that your father spent so much time and effort just so he could walk you part way down the aisle is tear jerking, or I'm just over emotional today. The chapel director needs to lay off!

Personal. I think its insulting when churches, ministers, or anyone else tries to tell you what you should and shouldnt do. Its our ceremony, if I want my best friend to sing or I want a certain poem read, im going to do it. We did everythign our way too, and our guests loved it ! so did we.. and we used my mom as an officiant. it was great. Your ceremony should be about YOU..the couple. Personal.
