If you lean towards the darker side of the wedding planning spectrum, consider this cake.
It's white and tiered to appease the family traditionalists, but those thick black roses on top make it clear who's aesthetic is in charge here.

just warn bride & groom & guests that the black coloring in the flowers will stain your teeth, gums & fingers…so wait until after pics to enjoy….although being 'offbeat' it might be fun to have pics with everyone having blacked out teeth.
