Fern wedding bouquet
I love this bride’s bouquet — she had a forest wedding, and I think it’s awesome that she chose to make a bouquet from the natural flora in the area. It really binds the event to the location, is super low-impact and eco-friendly (no pesticides!), budget-conscious, and in this case made for a gorgeous casual bouquet full of fern fronds and wildflowers.

Is that “bridal suite” pic… actually the bridal suite?

July 13th, 2007 · 11:31 AM · #Hmm, interesting point, Lisa. My theory was that picking a few fronds off a fern in the forest is lower impact that the land clearing, pesticides, watering, harvesting, and shipping involved with using flowers that have been raised in a greenhouse. I’m certainly not suggesting people go pick endangered flowers for their bouquets, but a few fronds isn’t going to kill a fern and seems infinitely greener than greenhouse plants.
Thoughts?
