Atom & Athena
Holy hell — take your time with Pixie Vision Productions‘ pictures from Atom & Athena’s fantastical January 2007 wedding. I love the cutie flower girl, and how mom and dad look so proud, and the total fantasy of the bride’s gown. Gorgeousness!

I think the “f” adjective missing from this entry title was “Firy.” The flame motif looked amazing! I wish I were motivated enough to pull off that kind of spectacle. But not as much as I wish I could swing flaming maces around my body and not burn down whatever structure I’m standing in.

Wow. So beautiful and amazing and incredible! I’d love to hear the story on how they planned/designed it.

Nice dress, but from that picture, I’m a little worried about her waist - it is cinched in or what?? It makes me wince in empathy. Ouch.

Fiona, don’t worry too much — it just looks like a corset, which (if it fits correctly) is probably quite comfy.

    Thanks all,

    Fiona, Ariel is right.
As creator of Athena’s Wedding Dress (as well as her maid of honor and dresser) I can attest to her being quite comfortable in her corset…which was newly taken in that week as she lost quite a bit of weight right before the wedding… ah but it’s all about being flexable. And Athena was increadibly inspiring to design for/with.

Rebecca, the process was quite amaising and the whole thing was captured (and quite a bit dramaticized) on WE channel’s “Bridezillas” early this October possibly the 7th? That was truly an interesting process, I don’t reccommend “”reality”" TV if you value you privacy in any way…

And Holy Cow does The Amaising Mizz Pixie know how to capture it all!

I have had the honor to create and officiate many wonderfully unusual ceremonies as well as designing unique custom gowns.

I too am LA based but work with folks all over. You can see more examples including a number of Burningman Weddings on my pages at people.tribe.net/teresashea and people.tribe.net/faabrika.

Ariel, this is a fabulous site, thanks for putting it out there! It’s great to see what everyone else of the avant-guarde mind set is up to…

This wedding was on Bridezillas! i don’t think she was a “bridezilla”, though… she just knew what she wanted. it was cool.

I saw Athena and Atom’s wedding story on Bridezillas. She wasn’t the meanest I have seen but she was kind of nasty to her stepdaughter.

hi there, can anyone tell me what denomination the officiant was, we want to use a similar ceremony script and don’t know where to begin to look.

on another note, what a fabulous display of creativity and sexyness, kudos for daring to be different and succeeding in a classy way. i’d love to meet athena
