Groom shot or band photo?

While trawling through the Offbeat Bride flickr group, I was struck by how some of the hipper "groom and his men" shots look more like band photos. When are these guys taking it on the road?

And then the question becomes, if these groomsmen were in a band, what would they play?

  1. Woah! That last pic is from Dana's wedding last year, that I assisted at! Awesome wedding, and very offbeat bride.

  2. Oh hey Stephanie — fancy meeting you here at Offbeat Bride!! ;)

You and Paula were fantastic. Can you believe it's been nearly two years?

  3. That settles it. Now I want my picture with my three groomsmen to be done ala 1980ies LA rock scene, complete with spiked bracelets , facepaint and pyrotechnics. I wonder how much pneumatic spinning drum sets rent for…

  4. I had to interject – I shot my friend's wedding recently and her husband really wanted to do these reservoir dogs-style shots over and over again despite the rain – boys can be so cute and funny sometimes! He even did a little finger gun in most of the shots :)
